I have not posted since January because I had an accident and it required me having a whole new hip and bone.  So I have been in the process of healing and learning to walk and finding life a bit different than before.  Also we are now in Montana and I am once again collecting some stamping things as I had to leave most of what I had behind because of traveling in the car and not having enough room. But you know the saying, " a stamper cannot be stopped" LOL.
I am so happy that the other day I was able to walk 2 miles and my goal is for at least 3 as I have to be able to walk quite a distance when we get to the Philippines to work with the people and the homeless children. I am planning on taking many images and color crayons so they can have fun. I can't take much on the plane so I decided that was the best.  Hugs, Cathy K

Envelope Swap

We had an absolutely fun Envelope Swap on our House Mouse List. Chrisann sent each of us an envelope with a square of checkered paper and a square of purple paper and an image and a saying and 3 purple dots and purple ribbon. We were allowed  to add 2 embellishments. Mine was 2 butterflies.  I love butterflies.  Everyone received the same thing in their envelopes and it was amazing the different things we all came up with. Not one of us made our cards the same way LOL. This was my take. I used a frame die cut to cut the front edges of the papers .  You will see the inside in the next post. This was so much fun, I hope we do it again. I apologize for not being able to cut around the card and had to leave so much background.  I have a new computer and it does not have a graphic program on that I know of.  So I will have to be finding one so I can cut around the cards.  I love my new computer and it allows me to have contact with my International friends.  That means a lot to me.  Hugs, Cathy K

Inside Evelope Swap

Having used all but the saying and the image and white paper left this is what I came up with :)  this swap was so much fun.  Thank you Chrisann

House Mouse Christmas Ornament Challenge 2013

It is tipped a bit sideways, I guess I got it off center a bit. I made 6 of them. I didn't have much with me because we were in the process of relocating but I had the scalloped card and I went to the Dollar Store and saw the snowflakes so I took my blue eye shadow and highlighted the snowflakes, cut out the house mouse image from a bigger image and one of my girls on my stamping list sent me the flowers and then in one of the sleeves of my suitcase I found the
Happy Holiday and gems.  I am finding that a stamper can make a card no matter what the obsticals LOL
Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas.

My Christmas Card

I should have posted this before Christmas but we were in transition and so everything was packed.  I love this image and it always makes me smile.  A very simple card for Christmas.

The Devil Has No Mother by Nicky Cruz

I have just finished reading one of the best books . Every teen ager, parent and grandparent, adult needs to read this book . Cruz has brought to light what has been diminished  and even hidden from us.  This is the reason so many are fighting battles they cannot seem to win and life has begun to be so hard for them. This is information we all need to know to live the lives that have been intended for us. This is a book that not only reveals what we need to know but also shares stories and instances that will help us to understand we are not the only ones fighting these battles. I recommend this book to every one.  We all need to know what is going on and how to fight it.  If  you care about your families or your own life and what is causing it to be less than you want it to be, this is a book for you. I have included a link so you can check it out for yourself. An amazing book.

FORMER GANG LEADER NICKY CRUZ PENS NEW TITLE,
THE DEVIL HAS NO MOTHER—A FOLLOW-UP TO HIS 1988 BREAKOUT HIT, RUN BABY RUN

25 YEARS AFTER HIS LAST BESTSELLER CRUZ IS BACK ENCOURAGING CHRISTIANS TO BE BOLD IN THE FACE OF EVIL
NASHVILLE, Tenn. – April 25, 2013— Nicky Cruz knows all about the power of the devil.
“This guy has no mother” is an old Spanish saying used to refer to boys who seem bent on evil and destruction. I remember it well from my childhood in Puerto Rico, because people would often use it when referring to me. –Nicky CruzThe Devil Has No Mother
From a spiritualist childhood in Puerto Rico to the gang culture in New York to an international Christian ministry, Nicky Cruz has seen humanity at its best and its worst. In his new book The Devil Has No Mother (Worthy Publishing, July 2013, $14.99, 9781617951893), Cruz draws on these early experiences and many others from his evangelistic ministry to drive home the reality of the devil’s no-holds-barred attempts to gain power over individuals and communities. This former gang leader also shows clearly why God, not the devil, will win! The Devil Has No Mother contains story after story of the reality of spiritual warfare and draws on New Testament teaching to show why Christians need to be bold in the face of evil.
Nicky Cruz has traveled widely around the world, speaking to hurting people in all walks of life, in the 40 years that have passed since he came to Christ in New York through the selfless devotion of David Wilkerson. Nicky’s ministry has reached thousands of inner-city gang members as he speaks to their need from his own experience. His ministry regularly targets urban environments in order to reach those who are most frequently trapped by destructive lifestyles and caught in a downward spiral of intense violence, drug abuse and gang activity.
